You may still feel hungry on weight loss treatment, especially in the early stages.
Your treatment is designed to reduce your appetite and help you feel fuller for longer, but it won’t switch off hunger completely. Some people notice a big drop in appetite straight away, while others find it builds gradually over the first few weeks.
It’s also normal for hunger to vary day to day. Things like stress, sleep, hydration, and activity levels can all affect how hungry you feel, even while on treatment.
If you're still feeling hungry most of the time, it may be worth checking:
- Are you getting enough protein and fibre in your meals?
- Are you drinking enough water throughout the day?
- Have you been on your current dose long enough to feel the full effect?
If hunger continues or feels hard to manage, speak to your MedExpress prescriber. You may need a dose adjustment or support in making dietary changes to help you feel more satisfied. We're here to help you get the most out of your treatment.
