GLP-1 medications are delivered using packaging and delivery methods designed to keep the medication safe during transit. Delivery guidance may differ depending on the medication supplied.
From May 2026, Wegovy® deliveries no longer routinely include ice packs or refrigerated packaging. This change is supported by approved manufacturer stability data and reviewed in line with MHRA guidance.

Wegovy® delivery guidance
Wegovy® can be safely delivered at controlled room temperature (below 30°C).
It is normal for:
• Wegovy® to arrive without ice packs
• The pen not to feel cold on arrival
• Delivery to take several days during courier transit
This does not automatically mean the medication is unsafe or ineffective.
What to check when your Wegovy® arrives
Before using your pen, check that:
• The liquid is clear and colourless
• The pen has not been frozen
• The pen has not been exposed to excessive heat above 30°C
• The pen is not cracked, leaking, or visibly damaged
Once your order arrives, store your Wegovy® in the fridge (2°C–8°C) as normal.
Mounjaro® delivery guidance
Mounjaro® deliveries continue to use insulated packaging and cold packs during transit.
Melted ice packs during delivery can be normal, particularly during warmer weather, and do not automatically mean the medication is unsafe.
If your Mounjaro® delivery is delayed:
• The pen should still be kept below 30°C
• The medication should be checked before use
• The liquid should remain clear and colourless
Mounjaro® may remain suitable for use for up to 30 days from dispatch if kept below 30°C.
When medication may not be safe to use
Please do not use your medication if:
• The pen appears damaged or leaking
• The liquid is cloudy or discoloured
• The medication has been frozen
• The medication may have been exposed to excessive heat above 30°C
If you are unsure whether your medication is safe to use, contact MedExpress before using the pen.
