How Do I Stay Consistent With My Weekly Injection Schedule?
You can take your Wegovy® or Mounjaro® injection at any time of day, with or without food. However, it's important to stay consistent with your chosen day of the week, since this helps keep the level of medication in your system stable.
If you need to change your injection day, you can usually do so as long as the time between two doses is at least 3 days (72 hours).
What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?
If you forget to take your injection on your scheduled day, the window for "catching up" depends on which medication you're using:
Wegovy®: you can take a missed dose up to 5 days after it was originally due.
Mounjaro®: you can take a missed dose up to 4 days after it was originally due.
If more time than this has passed (more than 5 days for Wegovy® or more than 4 days for Mounjaro®), skip the missed dose entirely. Wait and take your next dose on your usual scheduled day instead. Never take two doses at once to make up for a missed one.
