When Can I Cancel a MedExpress Order?
Whether a MedExpress order can be cancelled depends on its current stage:
Before prescription: you may request a cancellation if your order has not yet been reviewed or prescribed by a MedExpress clinician.
Once prescribed: cancellation is no longer possible once a MedExpress prescriber has issued your prescription. At this stage, the medication has been approved and pharmacy processing begins immediately.
After dispatch: cancellation is not possible once your order has left the MedExpress pharmacy, in line with UK medication safety regulations and MHRA guidance.
Are MedExpress Order Cancellations Permanent?
Important: once a MedExpress order has been cancelled, it cannot be reinstated, overridden, or reversed.
If you or MedExpress cancels an order, you will need to place a new order through the MedExpress website if you still wish to receive treatment.
What Happens if I Don't Provide Requested Information in Time?
MedExpress may request additional information, such as ID verification or medical details, to process your order. If this information is not provided within the required timeframe, your order will be automatically cancelled and refunded:
Weight loss medications (GLP-1s): automatically cancelled after 14 days.
All other medications: automatically cancelled after 7 days.
You will receive an email confirming the cancellation. Once an automatic cancellation has taken place, the order cannot be reinstated.
How Are MedExpress Refunds Processed?
If your MedExpress order is successfully cancelled before the prescription stage:
Refunds are issued to your original payment method.
Refunds typically take 2–5 working days to appear.
Depending on your bank, it may occasionally take up to 10 working days.
You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed.
When Are Replacements Issued for MedExpress Orders?
MedExpress only issues replacements in specific circumstances, such as:
The medication arrives damaged.
The incorrect medication is supplied.
The order is confirmed as lost by the courier.
For injectable medications, such as Mounjaro® or Wegovy®, a clinical review may be required before a replacement is approved.
