What Happens During the "Awaiting Prescription" Stage?
During the Awaiting Prescription stage, a qualified clinician checks:
Your medical history and health conditions
Any current medications you're taking
Whether the requested treatment is safe and suitable for you
Information available in your Summary Care Record (SCR), where appropriate
The clinical review must be completed and approved before a prescription can be issued. No medication is supplied until MedExpress's clinical team finishes this safety assessment.
How Long Does "Awaiting Prescription" Take?
Every order goes through a clinical review before your prescription is approved.
Review and dispatch timeframe: Once your prescription is approved, we aim to dispatch your treatment the same day if it is approved before 6pm.
