How Does MedExpress Request and Receive Information?
To ensure your treatment is safe, MedExpress's clinical team may require specific information or documentation after you have placed an order.
How MedExpress requests information: you will be notified by email if additional details are needed, such as ID verification or weight verification photos. These requests may come from MedExpress's Customer Care team or Clinical team.
How to submit information: you can submit requested documentation via email or live chat, or by uploading it through the prompt in your account dashboard
Important clinical updates: certain critical details — specifically the timing of your last dose, consent for dose adjustments, recent side effects, and any severe symptoms — must be provided by replying directly to the email you receive requesting this information. This ensures your information is added directly to your clinical record for immediate review.
What Information Do I Need to Provide?
To switch medications smoothly, please be prepared to provide the following details.
Timing of your last GLP-1 dose: you must confirm when you took your most recent dose. This helps the prescriber avoid overlapping treatments and ensures the correct starting dose is selected to reduce the risk of side effects.
Consent for strength adjustment: you must confirm that you agree to MedExpress's prescriber adjusting your requested dose if clinically required. GLP-1 medications are not always dose-equivalent, and clinical safety guidance must be followed. If the prescriber changes your strength, any price difference is typically credited to your account. Without this consent, MedExpress may be unable to proceed with your order.
Reporting side effects: you must confirm whether you have experienced any side effects in the past week (for example, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, or injection site reactions). This helps MedExpress assess whether switching is appropriate.
Declaring severe or concerning symptoms: you must state if you are experiencing any severe symptoms, such as persistent vomiting, signs of dehydration, severe abdominal pain, or other concerning physical changes. If these are reported, additional clinical assessment will be required before MedExpress can prescribe.
Why Might My GLP-1 Order Be Placed on Hold?
Your order may be delayed if:
Your last dose timing or consent for dose adjustment is missing.
Side effect information is incomplete.
Severe symptoms require further review.
Providing complete information promptly helps avoid these unnecessary delays.
