What Payment Methods Does MedExpress Accept?
MedExpress accepts the following payment methods:
Credit and debit cards: You can pay for your MedExpress order using:
Visa
Mastercard
American Express
Maestro
PayPal: MedExpress also accepts PayPal for secure checkout. Please note: PayPal "Pay in 3" is not currently supported.
Apple Pay and Google Pay: MedExpress also accepts Apple Pay and Google Pay as payment methods at checkout.
How Do I Add a New Payment Card?
You can add a new payment card to your MedExpress account in two ways.
From Your Account Dashboard
Navigate to the payment section here: https://www.medexpress.co.uk/my-payments or
Go to the MedExpress website
Click "Account and orders" (top right of the page).
Log in to your account.
Click "My Payments."
From here, you can either select a previously saved payment card or follow the on-screen steps to add a new payment card.
Once a new payment card has been added in this section, it'll appear as an option during the payment stage of placing a future MedExpress order.
During Checkout
When placing an order and entering your payment card details, you'll see a tick box labelled "Remember this card for future payments." Selecting this saves your card for future MedExpress orders, without needing to add it separately via your account dashboard.
Does MedExpress Use a Shopping Basket?
No. MedExpress doesn't offer a shopping basket for multiple items. Each MedExpress treatment must be:
Selected individually
Purchased separately
Completed with its own consultation
This ensures every MedExpress order is reviewed safely by a prescriber before approval.
When Is Payment Taken for a MedExpress Order?
MedExpress takes payment at the time you place your order, before clinical review.
After payment:
Your MedExpress consultation is reviewed by a prescriber.
The prescriber decides if the treatment is safe and appropriate.
If your MedExpress order is approved:
Your prescription is issued.
Your order is prepared and dispatched.
If your MedExpress order is not approved:
The treatment is not supplied.
A full refund is issued automatically to your original payment method.
Is My MedExpress Payment Secure?
Yes. All MedExpress payments are processed using secure, encrypted payment systems that meet industry security standards. This ensures your financial and personal information is protected.
How Will MedExpress Appear on My Bank Statement?
For privacy and discretion, MedExpress payments appear on your bank or card statement as: MEXPRESS
