You may be eligible to request a higher (step-up or maintenance) dose of Wegovy® or Mounjaro® if you have previously used the medication through a different provider.
Before we can supply a dose higher than the starting strength, our clinical team must confirm your recent treatment history to ensure it is safe and clinically appropriate to continue at that level.
When a Higher Dose May Be Considered
A higher dose may be considered if:
You have previously used the same GLP-1 medication with another healthcare provider.
Your most recent treatment occurred within the last 6 months.
Important: If valid proof of a previous prescription is not provided, you will be required to restart at the initial starting dose (e.g., 0.25 mg for Wegovy® or 2.5 mg for Mounjaro®) in line with clinical safety guidelines. Alternatively, if you cannot provide the required proof, you may choose to cancel your order and receive a full refund.
Accepted Evidence of Previous Treatment
To allow our prescribers to make safe and informed decisions, you must provide clear documentation of your recent treatment. Accepted forms of evidence include:
A copy of your previous prescription.
The dispensing label (found on the original medication packaging).
A formal receipt or dispatch confirmation from your previous provider.
Note: Verbal confirmations or written accounts without supporting documentation are not accepted.
Requirements for Your Documentation
When providing your evidence, please ensure the following details are clearly visible, as these allow our team to confirm safe continuation:
Your full name or email address: To confirm the medication was prescribed specifically for you (these details must match those of your MedExpress account).
Medication name and dosage: To confirm the exact medication and strength you were last prescribed.
Date: The document must be dated within the last 6 months to ensure your treatment gap is not too long.
How to Submit Your Evidence
Once you place your order, you will be notified via email if we require documentation.
For Previous Use Evidence (PUE): Please note that our general upload link cannot be used for PUE documentation. To submit your PUE, please log in to your MedExpress account, send it via email, or contact us via live chat on our website.
For other requests (such as ID and Weight Verification): You can submit these via the secure upload link provided in your request email, through live chat, by email, or by logging into your account.
Clinical Review: Once submitted, our clinical team will review your documentation. Supply of your requested dose depends on this clinical approval. If evidence is insufficient, our clinical team may limit the dose to the lowest safe option and provide guidance on gradual titration.
