How to Change Your GLP-1 Dose

You can request a GLP-1 dose change at any time through My Subscriptions. All GLP-1 dose change requests are reviewed by our prescribing team before being approved.

How to change your GLP-1 dose

1. Go to My Subscriptions at medexpress.co.uk/my-subscriptions
2. Select "Change Dose"
3. Choose your requested GLP-1 dose — you can request one dose higher than your current dose, or any number of doses lower
4. Submit your request — no new consultation is required. Your prescriber will review your GLP-1 dose change request using your existing records and may contact you if they need more information

When will the GLP-1 dose change take effect?

• If your next order has not yet entered processing: the GLP-1 dose change will apply to that order
• If your order is already being processed (typically 2–3 working days before dispatch): the new GLP-1 dose will apply to the order after that
• If you don't request a change: your GLP-1 subscription will automatically continue at your current dose

Note: GLP-1 prescriptions cover up to 3 fills at the same dose, with a 3-month expiry.

Can I reduce my GLP-1 dose? 

Yes — you can request any number of doses down via My Subscriptions at medexpress.co.uk/my-subscriptions. Your prescribing team will review and confirm your GLP-1 dose change.

Do I need a new consultation to change my GLP-1 dose? 

No — you don't need a new consultation to change your GLP-1 dose. Your prescriber will review your GLP-1 dose change request using the information you've previously provided.

What if my prescriber doesn't approve my GLP-1 dose change? 

Your prescriber may adjust your requested GLP-1 dose or contact you to discuss. Your prescriber has access to your self-reported health updates and previous consultations when making their decision.

Will I automatically go up in GLP-1 dose each month? 

No — your GLP-1 dose stays the same unless you request a GLP-1 dose change via My Subscriptions.
